DEECA & POTENTIAL CAMPING BAN AT HINNOMUNJIE BRIDGE
HEADS UP! DEECA has just informed FOTM that they’ve been pursuing closing Hinnomunjie Bridge to all camping. Based on our recent conversations with them, they’ve agreed to pause this misguided effort and initiate discussions with stakeholders. Tailored "Give-Back" days for Schools, Camps, Clubs, etc.
Every year FOTM gets contacted by various groups wanting to do a few hours or a few days giving a bit back to our Mitta Mitta river environs. It can be anything from dealing with invasive weeds to clearing river journey campsites to park campsite maintenance and repair, trail maintenance and more.
