GIVE BACK DAY & EVENING FOTM EVENT;

Special add-on; Buy, Swap & Sell!

Ok kiddos, here's the briefing;

Meet up as usual at 9 am at the Anglers Rest campground, Saturday, September 27 (Grand Final Day). We'll say hello and divvy up Give Back projects for the day;

Campground picnic table maintenance & repair, firepit and access road potholing & gravel raking. (FOTM is putting in $3k for the gravel, PV is also contributing plus sending rangers and machinery).

River scout & river journey camp/lunch-stop broom and blackberry treatment

Working on other jobs as well, TBA at the event

We need a couple more trailers on the Friday (day before the event) at the PV Omeo depot. They'll be filled with the gravel we're buying and brought up to Anglers for potholing etc. If you have a trailer (even if you can't bring it up yourself) please let us know and we'll try to arrange to get it up here. All trailers will be empty and ready to return by the Saturday evening.

Carrie also needs volunteers to help with the evening event. Including prior, during, and especially for the next morning after! Please contact Carrie or Jeffe or add a comment here.

Evening event starts at 6 pm at The Confluence, Jeffe & Carrie's. 124 Callaghans Rd., Anglers Rest. All drinks are BYO! You can bring camp chairs, blankets, etc. if you want. We'll have a few firepits roaring away during the music. Also as usual if you want to play some music in between sets, happy to have an open mic!

BBQ hosted by the NorthEast Canoe Club, pricing TBA. Whatever the cost it'll be a real deal just like last year!

The next day, Sunday, we'll have the usual fun run (levels dependant) down the Mitta. Meeting at 10 am at the Bundara put-in site. If you have seats on a raft for newbies please let us know in advance and thanks heaps! If you're a newbie and need a seat and/or river gear, message FOTM.

Buy/Swap/Sell; If you have outdoor or river gear to sell, gear drop off is at The Confluence at 2:30 pm. Items will be available to haggle over between 5 pm and 8 pm. Cash or FOTM donation accepted. Pick up purchased items after 8.

Should be a blast as usual! We know the Snowy races were paused this year due to unforeseeable circumstances, but we're hoping this weekend can give our wonderful river community sufficient camaraderie and party time to last the season. See ya there! Any questions contact Jeffe or Carrie.
